Listings of foreclosures with photos are generally more reliable and can provide more information than pictureless listings can ever hope to depict even with flowery words. So if you are a buyer, look for listings with pictures, and if you are an agent, include clear photos of exterior and interior views and important details. Most buyers wonder about the condition of the house if no pictures are included.
Photos provide lots of information with just one look. They immediately connect with your emotions and your mind, enabling you to scan lots of properties faster and make a short list of the homes you would like to examine further.
Be smart, however, in separating the real pictures and the Photoshopped pictures. If the overly beautiful pictures are incompatible with the low prices, apply the too-good-to-be-true byword and examine why the prices are low.
Check further also if a certain listing includes a lot of pictures, such as photos of bathroom fixtures, carpets, curtains and other details, but does not include pictures showing wider views of the whole house. The seller could be hiding something.
If, on the other hand, you are an agent and you are submitting your houses to listings of foreclosures, use pictures that are relevant – images that enable the buyer to decide whether your property is worth buying or is a match to your listing price.
To get the most attractive view for your foreclosure property, remove clutter and all other items that make a room overloaded. Find where you can get the best view or take pictures from several points and then choose the best later.
As much as possible, use natural light. To prevent glare from ruining the view in the picture, always take photos with the primary source of light behind you.
Include pictures of details if they are unique and if they increase the value of the property, such as a multi-burner gas stove or a beautiful wood panel. You can also showcase the yard, the roof or the lawn, but make sure they add to the overall impact of the set of pictures you are uploading.
Foreclosure listings that allow several pictures to be uploaded need more server space, so do not be discouraged if sites offering these listings charge some fees. Listings of foreclosures that provide updated and complete information, that allows you to look at lots of pictures and that provides easy-to-use search tools also need funds to serve you better.
